We combine training in systems thinking with coaching and assistance in convening stakeholders and developing systems maps that serve as theory of change and strategic plan for advancing a change agenda.
We start by working with individuals tapped to make change, typically those that have achieved commitments from leadership. This may even include the top management of the department, business unit, or company.
Training in Systems Thinking
We offer three levels of training in systems thinking.
Level One starts at the beginning and is suitable for those with no understanding of systems thinking. By the end of the course, participants will have a framework for drawing casual loop maps and analyzes them to identity systems traps.
Level Two is for those who seek to convene a group of stakeholders, build a shared mental model of the system through mapping, and then identify points of leverage and build a shared vision among the group.
Level Three is intended for those that have experience practicing systems thinking and are ready to train others.
Coaching Through Systems Change
The systems thinking process is best learned through doing. We work with organizations to identify potential systems leaders inside the organization, identify systems problems to be addressed, and to keep change going.
This is a highly customized offering tailored to the needs of each organization's dynamics and problems-to-be-solved. Opportunities for coaching most often arise out of training sessions.
